William Henry Waters, Jr. , "Pee Wee, Junior and Iman Hassan Rahim" departed this life on May 1, 2008 at Memorial Hospital in Easton, Maryland.\n \n He was born August 11, 1920 in Hurlock, Maryland, son of the late William Henry and Mary Thompson Waters, Sr.\n \n Mr. Waters was educated in the public schools of Dorchester County and was employed with E. I. Dupont for 42 years and Burris Security for over 20 years. He also faithfully served in the United States Army during World War II.\n \n His earlier years, Mr. Waters was a member of the former United Grove UM Church where he taught Sunday School.\n \n In 1957, he became a member of the Muslim faith and attended Muhammad's Mosque in Cambridge, Maryland. Mr. Waters was also the founder of the Hurlock Muslim Center in Hurlock, Md.\n \n His hobbies were reading, baking, a student of history and talking with family and friends.\n \n In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Purnell and Milton Waters.\n \n He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 57 years, Anna Rebecca Waters; three children, Akil Rahim (Carol), Deborah Waters and Beverly Waters; three grandchildren, Telicia Waters, Calvin Simms, Jr. and Amirah Rahim; four great grandchildren, Nizhay Simms, Te'Vion Waters, Ty'Kee Williams and Calvin Simms, IV; a brothers, Gilbert Waters (Mildred); three sisters in-law, Delores Johnson, Brenda Robinson and Diane Allen; extended family, Dorothy Fletcher, Shirley Rose, Bernard and Samuel (Courtney) Johnson; and a host of nieces, nephews, a special cousin, Elain Spry, cousins and friends. Renwick Jenkins, Jamonte' Fletcher, Lionel Pinder and Tinya Cephas-Elliott, were like grandchildren to him.\n \n A viewing will be held on Thursday, May 8, 2008 6-8 at Hurlock UM Church Main St Hurlock, MD.\n \n Interment will be held on Friday, May 9, 2008 1:30pm at the Eastern Shore Veteran's Cemetery Hurlock, MD.
