William Vernon Jenkins (Brother Bill), 87 years old, departed this life on November 10, 2015 at the Talbot Hospice Foundation in Easton.\n \n\n He was born November 7, 1928 in Easton to the late Russell and Blanche Jenkins. Billy was educated in the Talbot County school system graduating from Moton High School. Brother Bill, as he was affectionately known, was an excellent carpenter. He was employed at the Lyon Building and then at Easton Wholesale in the sales department until retirement. Brother Bill converted to a Jehovah Witness and was baptized in 1987.\n \n\n He had a smile that spoke volumes. He enjoyed baking homemade goodies, helping those in need, and working outdoors in the yard. Bro. Bill was a Minister of Servant in the Easton congregation. His passion was reading and sharing his vast knowledge of the Bible. He enjoyed his life as a witness as he would engaged in sharing the truth of the Bible with people he came in contact with.\n \n\n Brother Bill leaves to cherish fond memories his wife of 64 years, Ruth Jenkins; 2 brothers: Russell (Dorothy) Jenkins and James (Nancy) Jenkins both of Easton; 4 sisters: Nadia (James) Caldwell of Denton, Sharon (Rodney) Truxon of Easton, Elise Roberts and Bonnie Bell both of Easton, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.\n \n\n In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by 2 brothers: Johnathan and Robert Jenkins.
