William Edward Cheers of Grasonville, Md departed this life on Tuesday, March 1, 2011. Born November 17, 1942 in Barclay, Maryland, he was the son of the late Franklin Cheers and Mary Rochester Seals. William attended school in Queen Anne's County graduating from Kennard High School in Centreville, MD. During his adult years, William worked for Campbell Soup Company (Chestertown, Maryland), Friel's Lumber Company (Queenstown, MD), Easton Airport (Easton, Maryland) and Summit Airport (Middletown, DE). He occasionally drove the crab truck for George Hill. William is survived by one daughter, Shelita Cheers (Seaford, DE); one son, Vincent (Brenda) Harris (Rome, GA); four grandson; six great grandchildren; two sisters, Lois Seals (Church Hill, MD) and Phyliss (William) Wilson (Centreville, MD); three brothers, Arthur (Audrey) Seals (New Castle, DE), Robert (Mildred) Seals (Grasonville, MD) and Eric Queen (Cambridge, MD); three aunts; three uncles and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 9, 2011 1pm at Community Baptist Church 1422 Barclay Rd Barclay, Md with a viewing Tuesday evening 6-8pm at the church.
