Vivian Ernestine Roberts (aka Viv), peacefully transition to be with the Lord on March 1, 2013 at the age of 79. She was born January 13, 1934, daughter of the late Noah Maurice Wilson and Alice Ophelia Wilson.\n \n Vivian was educated in the public schools of Talbot County. She was employed as a Certified Geriatric Nursing Assistant at Mallard Bay Nursing Home, Cambridge retiring December 1998. She continued her services through the Talbot County Health Department until June 2012.\n \n Vivian loved the Lord and read her bible faithfully until her health failed. She was a faithful member of Scotts United Methodist Church, where she participated in the Senior Choir, Praise Choir, Senior Usher Board, United Methodist Women, Soup Kitchen and the Hospitality Committee. She was a devoted Communion Steward, many times assisting Pastor Hackett on home visits to present communion.\n \n In addition her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Royce Roberts, Sr.; two brothers, Norman and Edward Wilson; one sister, Alice Camper; and one of her dear friends, Wilsie Green.\n \n Vivian was a devoted mother leaving to mourn three children, Eunice Roberts, Trappe, MD, Royce Roberts, Jr. (Vernette), Landover, MD, and Edward Roberts, Sr. (Karen), Trappe, MD; one step daughter, Rosita Thompson (Fred), Cambridge, MD; six grandchildren, George Jenkins III (Nicole), St. Michaels, MD, Rodney Roberts (Kurtrice), Upper Darby, PA, Tonya Agurs (Ellis), Baltimore, MD, Roshanda Roberts, Easton, MD, Rytesha Roberts, Laurel, MD, and E. J. Roberts, Trappe, MD; seven great grandchildren, Tekesha and Tenijah, Easton, MD, Jordan Jenkins, Trappe, MD, Elijah Agurs, Baltimore, MD, Rashad Frazier, Easton, MD, Khalil and Rayna Roberts, Upper Darby, PA; one great great granddaughter, Destiny Jenkins, Easton, MD; four brothers, Quentin Wilson (Bertha), Easton, MD, Francis Wilson (Florence), Easton, MD, Wilbert Wilson (Marilyn), Trappe, MD, Herbert Wilson, Trappe, MD; two sisters, Tamsey Miller (James), Trappe, MD and Mable Green, Cambridge, MD; two sisters in law, Brenda Sisco (Abe) and Maylon Roberts, Trappe, MD; one Goddaughter, Shelly Garrison, Trappe, MD; one Godson, James Green, Philadelphia, PA; adopted grandchildren, Lavern DeShields, Tenecia Collins, and Travon DeShields; dear friends, Delores Humphries, Betty Freeman, Helen Chase, and Louise Brummell; and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.\n \n Services will be held Sat., March 9, 2013 11am at Scotts UM Church Trappe, MD with a viewing two hours prior to service. Interment in Paradise Cemetery Trappe, MD.
