Vernay Marcia Lee-Bolden departed this life and entered eternal rest on Friday, January 8, 2016 at UM Medical Dorchester County at age 63. Vernay was born January 21, 1952 to the late Alverta Lee and William Young Sr. A native of Dorchester County, Vernay was educated in Dorchester County Public Schools, graduating from Cambridge Senior High School, class of 1970.\n \n\n Vernay was employed with Coldwater Seafood in Cambridge, MD for 37 years. She was a faithful and devoted member of The United Missionary Baptist Church, Cambridge, MD where she served as an usher, trustee, choir member and the culinary committee. Her interests, hobbies\n \n\n Vernay was preceded in death by her parents, Alverta Lee and William Young Sr., and a son, Eric Lee.\n \n\n She is survived by one son Jaun Lee of Cambridge, MD; two sisters, Rhonda Pinder and Nadine Lee of Cambridge, MD; four brothers Gregory Lee of Cambridge, MD, Darrin Lee of Cheltenham, MD, Laron (Tamba) Elliott of Baltimore, MD and William Young Jr. of Dover, DE. Vernay raised two granddaughters Kendra Lee and Ty'Cha Cornish both of Cambridge, MD; two great grandsons Tadrian Stanley and William Murray; two aunts Dorothea (Freddie) Bryant of Cambridge, MD and Vivian Frock of East New Market, MD; host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.\n \n\n Vernay shared a special relationship with longtime companion Earl Dickerson and lifetime friend Francine Osbourne, both of Cambridge, MD.
