Tyron Keenan Adams

–

Cambridge, Maryland

Tyron Keenan Adams affectionately known as ‘Bookie’ by family and ‘Point’ by friends, age 33, from Cambridge, Dorchester County, MD transitioned peacefully January 26, 2025 at Tidal Health Peninsula Regional Hospital in Salisbury, MD.

Point was born December 10, 1991 in Cambridge, MD and was the beloved son of Richard Mateo and Dawn Adams. Point was educated in the Talbot County and Dorchester County Public School systems, but graduated and received his high school diploma through DCPS. After high school, he worked a variety of jobs, with his first being employed at McDonald’s. Then he went on to obtain his Certified Medication Technician certificate in 2022, with his most recent job being with Treehouse Foods, where he worked until he became sick.

Point was extremely full of life, and had a charming soul with a sense of humor. He left a special mark on everyone he came in contact with. Growing up he used to always think he was a gymnast. Everything he came in contact with, he wanted to flip off of. That boy would do a backflip off a building if you allowed him. Then came basketball. But that didn't last long because he found interest in something else, that he loved doing. Something that was an outlet from chaos. He became lyrical. Point started rapping and making beats.

Point leaves to cherish his memories, his loving mother Dawn Adams (Kevin) of Cambridge MD; his father Richard Mateo (Teresa) of Baltimore, MD; grandparents Delores Diaz and Tomas Diaz, Sr. (Darlene) of Cambridge, MD; his siblings Kenyatta Adams, Ebony Fletcher (Ronald), Shaneka Mateo, Armand Cornish, Sharde Pasley, Darron Taylor, India Williams, and Kaitlin Skinner all of Cambridge, MD; his children Jeviohn Hurst of Seaford, DE, Ariyonna & Ahmir Dodd of St. Michaels, MD, Mionahi Adams of Baltimore, MD, Zaniya Adams of Newburg, New York. and Ka'Lynn Beasley of Cambridge, MD; aunts and uncles Patricia Mateo, Carlos Diaz (Tangela), and Quiana Holbrook (Augustine) all of Salisbury, MD; Tomas Diaz, Jr. (Shirley), Lee Diaz (Jennifer), Jamie Diaz (Joshua) all of Cambridge, MD; Tony Diaz, Sr. (Monique) of Germantown, MD, and Carlos Mateo (Thelma) of North Carolina; nieces and nephews Keymira, Armond, Winter, Jazion, Lorenz, Jalen, Ja'zire, Ramir, Taveon, and Donivan all of Cambridge, MD; godmother Monenia Griffin of Washington, D.C.; and a host of great aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

In Eternal Rest, Point reunites with his paternal grandparents Carlos Padilla Mateo and Pemmer Mateo; very special aunts Shirley Mae Fitzgerald and Chykita Mateo; and sister Shatyra Williams.

His impact on the lives of others will be cherished and remembered forever. Sending peace and blessings from the Sisters and Brotherhood of Elm700.
