Thomas Savoy

Thomas Samuel Savoy, 85 , passed away peacefully on Monday, February 21, 2011 at Genesis The Pines in Easton, MD. Born May 24, 1925 in Baltimore, Maryland, son of the late Samuel Savoy and Annie Beatrice Green Bailey. While an infant, he moved with his mother to Matthewstown, Maryland to live with his mother and stepfather Roy William Bailey. He remained in the Matthewstown and Cordova Area until residency within The Pines in 2003. He is survived by his brothers, Herman Savoy (Bernice) and Marshall Bailey (both of Easton, MD), Leroy Bailey (Joan) Bailey (Raleigh, NC/Easton) and Robert Bailey (Cordova, MD); a sister, Pauline Bailey (Easton, MD); one stepdaughter, Ernestine Wilson Taylor (Denton, Md); two grandchildren, Melissa Johnson (Keith), Lewistown and Tyrone Sampson (Flora), Trappe; three great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; five very special friends, Bradford Newman, Betty Emory, Elva Hall, Jeanie Wallace and Jackie Thomas. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Pauline Savoy. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 26, 2011 1pm at St. Matthews UM Church in Longwoods, MD with a viewing one hour prior to the services. Interment in Chapel Cemetery (Easton, MD).
