Thomas Ferguson Sr. Obituary (1935

Thomas H. Ferguson, Sr of Cambridge passed away on Wednesday September 17, 2014 at University of Baltimore/Washington Medical Center Glen Burnie, Md. He was 79. He was born on January 6, 1935, son of the late Theodore R. Ferguson Sr and the late Daisy Mae Ferguson –Wing. After graduating from Mace’s Lane High School in 1953 he enlisted in to the U.S. Army and served from 1955-1958. On September 21, 1963 he married Annie Mae Thompson and from this union a son, Thomas H. Ferguson, Jr. was born. He had employment at Vo-tech Center, Meredith Auto Sales and Western Printing Company. He spent 12 years in Houston, Texas employed by Metro Auto – Repair Inc. In 1993 , he returned to Cambridge and retired from Maryland Wirebelt. He enjoyed his family and especially his grandchildren, the love of his life. His favorite pet was his dog “Buddy”and at his dog’s death in 2013, he was terribly saddened. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Annie Mae Ferguson; a son, Thomas Ferguson Jr.; three sisters, Elsie Martin, Shirley Green and Jacqueline ( Ralph) Dotson, (all of Cambridge, MD); two brothers, Theodore (Pearl) Ferguson and John (Beverly) Ferguson (all of Cambridge, MD); two grandchildren, Ashley Ferguson Brown (Gary Sr.), (Houston, Texas) and Jaden Ferguson (Cambridge, MD); three great grandchildren, Jordan Gordon, Mason Brown and Gary Brown Jr (all of Houston, Texas); two sisters-in law, Dorothy Stewart (Houston, Texas) and Mary Thompson (Cambridge, MD; goddaughter, Sharlene Harris (Kenny) and a host of nieces, nephews ,cousins and many friends He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Milton Cromwell and a brother in-law, Althonder Thompson Sr. Interment in Eastern Shore Veterans Cemetery, Hurlock, MD.
