Theditis Johnson Obituary (1942

Theditis Johnson, known to most as "Teddy", departed this life on Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at Easton Memorial Hospital in Easton, Maryland. Born January 5, 1942 to the late Ola Mae Stebbins and Henry Ware Sr., Theditis was educated in the public schools of DeSota County Florida and Mercer County New Jersey. Theditis was employed as a seasonal worker, within the healthcare and domestic field and was a Chef and Kitchen Manager for the Houghton and Weymouth families for a number of years. She was a member of Robinson AME Church where she was a member of the choir and the Women's Missionary Society until her health failed. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her siblings; Gloria Ware, Brenda Sessions, Joelyn Gray and Peter Hall, her grandson; Devoris Perry, and a special friend, Welchia Burke. Her memory will be cherished by her husband, Samuel Johnson, Federalsburg, MD; her children, Horace Perry Jr (Linda)., Trenton, NJ, Kim Perry (Sandra), Trenton, NJ, Tara Daniels, Arcadia, Florida, Lashelle Shine (Franklin), Arcadia, FL, Tammie Cook, Federalsburg, MD; step-children, Sandra Saunders (Mike) Goldsboro, MD, Lisa Pritchett, Denton, MD and Sheridan Butler (Angela), Groton, CT.; her siblings, Angela Ford, Arcadia, FL, Henry Jr., Joyce and Carolyn Ware, Orlanda FL; sister-in-laws, Loretta Winston, Ellen Taylor, Lavinia Johnson; brother-in-law, Sterling Johnson; grandchildren, Contessa, Devonna, Nicole, Vanessa, Andre, Horace III, Darnell, Little Devoris, Latisha, Corey, Kenya, Khaim, Kimyatta, Kane, Kyle, Byron, Brittany, Takisha, Michael, Dominque, Demetrik, Courtney, Darrion, Tamya; step-grandchildren, Dexter, Tamera, Dontez, Katia, Kobe, Sammy; 17 great-grandchildren; special friends, Dorothy Carpenter, Katherine Lee, Grace Harris, Mary Jones, Lottie Curtis, Helen Wright, Edward White Sr., Edward White Jr.; God-children, Shawan Burke, Lamesha Ringgold, Nyshon Hadrick, Ashley Blake and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 5, 2011 1pm at Robinson AME Church Grasonville with a viewing two hours prior to service. Interment in Carmichael Cemetery.
