Teresa M. Johnson (better known as Love), 52 received her wings on Tuesday, October 11, 2011 at Dorchester General Hospital. She was born in Cambridge, Maryland on January 10, 1959, the daughter of Eloise C. Johnson and the late Emerson W. Johnson. She graduated from Cambridge South Dorchester High School,, Class of 1977.\n \n Teresa participated in different community bands and lead a group call the Candy Girls. Teresa worked at Food City, Totland Day Care and Quality Inn.\n \n Teresa loved to dance, sing and cook for her family and neighbors. She never turned anyone away. All the children in the neighborhood young and old loved her. In her later years, she joined National Church of God under the leadership of Bishop Henry Carswell and became close friends with First Lady Carswell.\n \n Teresa leaves to cherish her memories, sons, Dietrich L.(Annikkia) Johnson, Sr. of Temple, GA, and Tyuane L.(Crystal) Johnson, Sr. of Cambridge, MD; Mother, Eloise C. Johnson of Cambridge, MD; Sisters, Joanne M. Chase of Cambridge, MD, Vanessa R. Johnson of East Point, GA, Nettie Brooks of Cambridge, MD; Brothers, Raymond T. Chase, Kevin E.(Lestine) Johnson of Austell, GA, Wayne R. Johnson of East Point, GA, Jerome C.(Shcandra) Johnson of Cambridge, MD; Grandchildren, Jordan Johnson, De'Tronia Moore(raised as her daughter), Diedra Johnson, Dietrich Johnson, Jr., Skylar and Nevaeh Johnson, Ty'Azia Johnson, Tyuane Johnson, Jr., Ke'essence and Ke-nya Ennals; God children, Kenny Harris, Jr., Jaron Meekins, Shawanda Strawberry and Tyneka Youmen; Uncles, Robert(Louise) Chase of Dublin, GA, Russell Chase of Cambridge, MD; Aunts, Mary L. Chase, and Bernice(Gene) Pinkett of Cambridge, MD, Norma Lee Young of New Brunswick, NJ; Special cousins, Bernard Chase, Meka Jones, Tyisha Cornish and a host of cousins that she loved dearly; Special nieces, Natasha Waller, LaSheco Smith, Reneaka Chase, Rochelle Chase, Tabriah Chase, Ronae Jackson and Shamya Johnson; Special nephews, William Johnson, Sr; Demont Johnson, Kree' Johnson, Tromaine Rich and Roshod Woolford; Close friends that she loved like sisters, Tina Meekins, Missy Johnson, Dawn Spann, Crissy Camper, Yolanda Saunders, Francine Fletcher and a host of other friends she loved dearly which includes her former Pastor and First Lady Bishop Henry Carswell. She was preceded in death by her brother, Darnell E. Chase and her father, Emerson W. Johnson, grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins. Funeral services will be held at Saturday, October 22, 2011 11 am at Bethel A.M.E Church 623 Pine Street, Cambridge, MD with a viewing one hour prior. Interment in the church cemetery.
