Susan Glidden

Susan Glidden was born on October 9, 1953 in Brooklyn, Connecticut to the late Edith V. Roy and Raymond Benoit.  She gained her heavenly wings on January 10, 2022.

Susan was a truck driver for many years before relocating to Cambridge, MD. After relocating, she met Vernon G. Murray while he was driving dump trucks. She began delivering newspapers for the Star Democrat in Easton and Oxford, MD.  She was  always early with the papers (rain, shine or snow) and took pride in doing it. She especially enjoyed delivering her papers on Thursday, when the “love of her life” Vernon Murray would join her. Susan made it a  point to give her customers Christmas cards every year. Susan will always be remembered for her unique  personality and her random stories. She loved telling funny stories about herself and her little sunshine Liam, they were truly “two peas in a pod”.

Susan was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Raymond.

She leaves to mourn her death: her three children, Michelle Harrison (JD), Vernon Murray II and Susie Murray; two grandsons, Stephen Harrison (Amber) and Liam as well as a host of other family members and friends.
