Sue Anna Daniel Sampson, 77 of Hurlock, peacefully departed this life on November 30, 2015 at The Pines Genesis HealthCare facility in Easton, MD after a brief illness.\n \n\n Born March 1, 1938, in Louisville, Kentucky, she was a daughter of the late Bessie Mae Baker Jackson and George Jackson. She attended public school in Louisville, Kentucky and later continued her education at the Bible College of Scriptures in Louisville, Kentucky. On April 1959, she married Wendell G. Sampson of Hurlock, Maryland.\n \n\n Sue was employed by Sensata Technologies, formerly known as Airpax Electronics, Inc., in Cambridge, MD for several years. Later she worked at Delmarva Community Service Center as a nursing assistant until she retired.\n \n\n Sue, a devoted mother to her children, loved to laugh and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. In her spare time, she enjoyed solving word puzzles, and as a young adult, she had a passion for sewing. In addition, Sue was a devoted member of Hurlock United Methodist Church. She enjoyed attending the church services.\n \n\n Preceding her in death besides her parents, were three brothers; Cornelius, Homer and George Daniel; two sisters, Jean Fox and Lavern Reese of Hamilton, Ohio.\n \n\n She is survived by her husband, Wendell Sampson of Hurlock; three daughters: Paulette Turlington (Jacob) of Hurlock, Cheryl Jones of Salisbury, and Lawon Barnes of Hawaii; one son: Derrick Sampson of Hurlock; one step-daughter: Verdell Weems (Clinton) of Hurlock; three granddaughters, one grandson, and one great grandson: Purcell Luke of Hurlock, who was like a son; one sister, Dorothy Louise (Henry Frank) Jackson of Hamilton, Ohio; a devoted nephew, Rayfield Sampson of Hurlock; an extended family, Sharon (Norman) Warner of Cambridge. She also leaves to cherish her memory a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.\n \n\n A funeral service is scheduled for 11:00 a. m. Thursday, December 10, at the Hurlock United Methodist Church, 502 Main Street Hurlock with a viewing two hours prior. Rev. C. Claudia Waters will officiate. Interment will follow at Petersburg Cemetery. Arrangements are in care of the Henry Funeral Home, P.A.
