Sarah Norma Lee Jones, 92 of Cambridge, Maryland departed this life on Sunday, January 22, 2017 at the Chesapeake Woods Nursing Care Facility.\n \n\n She was born October 9, 1924 in Cambridge, Maryland, daughter of the late Rev. Lewis H. Bayneum and Sarah Cromwell Bayneum. She married George H. Jones who departed this life in November 1979.\n \n\n She was a graduate of F.D. Sinclair High School, Class of 1942. Norma Lee, as she was called, was employed as a Nursing Assistant at Dorchester General Hospital, Bogash Sewing Factory, RJ Reynolds and later became a self-employed operator of a restaurant and grocery store.\n \n\n She was a faithful and lifetime member of Waugh Chapel United Methodist Church. Normy, as some addressed her, enjoyed sitting out on her front porch with her early morning cup of coffee and newspaper, waving to all she knew and did not know. She loved listening to Ray Charles and old Rand B music, along with Mahaila Jackson and good old gospel music.\n \n\n She leaves to mourn and cherish memories to her six children, Michael Foster (Rev. Anna), Audrey Bowser (Wallace), Judge JoAnn Bowens (Howard), Pastor Alma E. Boulden (Charles), Albert Jones (Nealette) and Jennifer Williams (Anthony); a special daughter, Janice Banks; ten grandchildren, Robert Jackson III, Michele Lynn Foster, Albert and Anthony Jones, Michael Foster Jr., William Jones, Jennifer T. Matthews, Brian Batson, Courtney and Chelsea Williams; thirteen great grandchildren; eight great great grandchildren; nieces, Joyce Bell (Chester, PA), Ellen Stanley, Cambridge, MD; nephew, Lewis Stafford, Cambridge, MD, cousins and friends.\n \n\n She was preceded in death by her parents, six sisters and four brothers.
