Sandra Lee Hayman Saunders passed away Saturday September 8, 2012 at Bayride Nursing Home in Annapolis, MD after a lengthy illness. She was in Mardela Springs, MD, daughter of the late Priscilla Hayman Jackson and Matthew Mitchell. She was raised by Sophia and James Hotten of Sharptown, MD and Sidney and Annabelle Scott Jackson. Sandra attended the public schools of Wicomico County, Sharptown Elementary now known as Copper Mill Elementary School in San Domingo and Salisbury High School in Salisbury, MD. After high school she moved to Cambridge, MD and brief time in Baltimore, MD before returning to Cambridge. She was employed with several companies within the area the last being B & G Pickle Factory in Hurlock, MD until her illness. She loved to study the Bible with Brother Michael and Sister Sue Marr of Baltimore. Sandra attended Anointed One Ministries. Sandra Lee loved to have fun and talk about her children. Her hobbies were cooking with her favorites being greens, chitterlings, chicken, yock and potato salad. Her uncles, brothers and cousins traveled to enjoy her cooking all the time. Loving memories will be cherished by four sons, Aaron (Mia) and Monte' Hayman, James Jr. (Lisa) and Kevin Lee, all of Cambridge, MD; ten grandchildren, Ayionna, Aaron Jr., Akia Hayman, Tevin Ennals, Moesha Wilson, James III, JaMonta, JaVonta, Kevin Jr. and KiMhaz Lee; two brothers, Wallace (Joan) Hayman of Columbia, Delaware and William Jackson of Salisbury, MD; one sister, Sonnace Smith of Sharptown, MD; five aunts, Jacqueline Hayman (Melvin) Smullen of Mardela Springs, MD, Adaline Jefferson of Dover, DE, Dorothy Barnes of Delmar, Delaware, Guelda Tull of Willingboro, NJ, Naomi Johnson of Burlington, NJ; three uncles, Thomas Hayman of Salisbury, MD, Alfred Mitchell of Newark, NJ and Charles Mitchell of Delmar, DE. In addition to her parents Priscilla Hayman Jackson and Matthew Mitchell, maternal parents, Sophia and James Hotten, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Saunders, daughter, Tawana Hayman, five uncles, Albert Jr. and Levi Hayman, James Dwight and Vaughn Mitchell; five aunts, Marie Sexton, Gertrude Elzey, Iola Ringgold, Margie Elzey and Sylvia Evans. Sandra Lee's special friends; aunt in-law, Janet Hayman, cousins, Coochie, Ms. Laverne, Vicky Camper Jolley, Helena Perry, Ernestine Jones, Barbara Jean McKnight; Grandparents, Albert and Edna Hayman.\n \n Services will be held on Friday, Sept. 14th 7pm at Henry Funeral Home PA 510 Washington St Cambridge with a viewing one hour prior. Interment in Bethel Cemetery Sat. at 10am.
