Sandra Ennels

Sandra Patricia Lee-Ennels, 73, passed away surrounded by her loving family on September 17, 2023, in New Castle, Delaware.

Sandra Patricia Lee-Ennels, affectionately known as Patty was born on May 18,1950 to the late Earl Edward Lee Sr. and Edna Frances Gates in Cambridge, Maryland. She persevered in her studies at Cambridge High School and later graduated with her GED from Dorchester County in 2008. She worked at Bumble Bee in Cambridge Maryland and
Country Price in Hurlock Maryland.

In 1979 Patty married John Harold Ennels and later joined Mt. Sinai Missionary Baptist
church on Park Lane in Cambridge. Patty was a faithful servant of the Lord and loved her family, church, and community with her entire essence. If you knew Patty then you had the chance to experience her beautiful nature and her pleasant, deeply dimpled smile. Her smile was so stunning it would light up the whole room.

She enjoyed traveling to Delaware to visit her family, she enjoyed the time she spent with her friends, eating, cooking, laughing, talking, and playing bingo. She also relished her weekly visits to the Delmarva Community Service Center. Patty was an active member of Narcotics Anonymous (NA) and looked forward to attending group meetings in addition to sharing her journey to encourage others.

Patty was strong willed and stubborn at times, but she also had an enormous heart and
wonderful sense of humor. She was generous, loyal, and brave. She was clever and full to the brim with knowledge gained through all of her life experiences.

She will be remembered for all the heart she shared with her friends and family. She
truly loved each of them- and if you knew her, you knew this too. When her time came, she carried herself with dignity, strength, and full of love for those who went before her and for those she left behind. She will be missed dearly.

Patty was a strong fighter, but she is now on a new journey, on a path we cannot see. We know that she is free from pain and is peacefully voyaging with God.

She leaves to cherish her brother Earl Edward Lee Jr. and his partner Vicky both of
Cambridge, Maryland, two daughters Nina Ashe of New Castle, Delaware and Veronica
Jones of Cambridge, Maryland. Her five grandchildren Anekia Nyamsi, her husband
Melaine of Hampton, Georgia, Richard Beach, his wife Shauni of New Castle, Delaware,
Taron Jones, Demetrice Jones (DJ) and Nykeira Jones (Puddin’) of Cambridge, Maryland.

She was a great-grandmother to 14 children and a loving god-mother as well. Patty
touched many family, friends and others lives. She sincerely spread her love to many
people including but not limited to her special friends Rose Rideout and Sarah Brown
(Peaches).

Patty is preceded in death by her brothers William Lee (Billy), Larry Lee, Douglas Camper, Andre Camper who are all from Cambridge, Maryland.
