Samuel Thomas, known to most as "Sam", departed this life on Tuesday, July 22, 2008 at Easton Memorial Hospital in Easton, Md.\n \n He was born July 14, 1944, son of the late Elizabeth Kirby and Harold Thomas. Sam attended Frederick Douglas Elementary in St. Michaels, Maryland and Moton High School in Easton, Maryland.\n \n God picked another beautiful flower, a rose from his Heavenly garden. To know him was to love him. He loved his family and friends. He worked as a Landscaper in Silver Spring, MD.\n \n He leaves to mourn, his fiance', Doris Blackwell (Easton, Md); stepchildren, Carnella Gibson, Jasmin & Lantaye (all of Baltimore, MD); Lisa Johnson and Ty Johnson (Cambridge, MD); a sister, Nina McClamy (Baltimore, MD); two brothers, Harold R. Thomas (St. Michaels, MD); Albert R. Thomas (St. Michaels, MD); a sister in-law, Vanessa Thomas; four nephews, Bernard McClamy (Robin), Boston, Mass, Charles McClamy, Paul McClamy (Debbie) and Tony McClamy (all of Baltimore, MD); two nieces, Darlene McClamy and Cora Sawyer (Quentin), all of Baltimore, MD; great nieces, Sharon, Mia, Shawntay, Niesha, Nina, Keisha and Tonette McClamy and Melanie Skinner; great great nephews, Ricky, Antwon and Issac McClamy and a host of great great great nieces & nephews, cousins; a good friend, George Gibbs and other friends.\n \n In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Kirby and a great great nephew, Bernard McClamy, III.
