Samuel Edwards Sr Obituary (1939 - 2009)

Samuel Lewis Edwards, Sr. 70 of Cambridge, departed this life on Sunday, December 13, 2009 at Dorchester General Hospital. Born May 23, 1939 in Florida, he was the son of the late Lucille Edwards. In 1973 he enlisted into the United States Navy and was honorably discharged in 1977. He was then employed with Nassau Medical Center in New York as a Corpsman until his health began to fail. Mr. Edwards is survived by six children, Linda, Gloria, Vanessa and Samuel, Jr. (all of Virginia), Angela (Baltimore) and Sonji (New York); 10 grandchildren; two uncles, Warren Edwards (Onnie), Cambridge and Calvin Edwards (Ernestine), Florida and a host of nephews, cousins and friends. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, December 22, 2009 10am at the Eastern Shore Veteran's Cemetery Hurlock, MD. Condolences sent to www.henryfuneralhomepa.com.
