Ruth Vastina Wright, 79 of Centreville, departed this life on Monday, March 16, 2009 at Memorial Hospital in Easton, Maryland.\n \n She was born December 20, 1929, daughter of the late Leon Conyer and Anna Louise Smith. Ruth was educated in the public schools of Queen Anne's County. She was employed with Caroline Chicken but, her greatest joy was being a Seamstress. She loved to sew for her family and friends. Ruth was also an excellent baker. She made cakes and pastries for any special event including birthdays and weddings. Selling Avon was also her passion.\n \n Ruth enjoyed attending family, friends and church gatherings with her nieces and nephews.\n \n Ruth leaves to mourn her husband, Edwin; two brothers, Holton (Faye), Pondtown, MD, Perry (Pearl), Centreville, MD; two sisters in-law, Genevie (Bernard-deceased), Centreville, MD, Marilyn Washington, Grasonville, MD; a brother in-law, Robert Bowser (Joyce), Centreville, MD; 14 nieces; 5 nephews; 3 goddaughters, Ruth V. Wangus, Lois Neal and Beverly Thomas; a godson, Craig Butler and a host of great nieces, nephews and dear friends, Marie Whittico and Georgia Huey;\n \n In addition to her mother, Anna Kennedy, a sister, Doris Brooks, brother, Jeremiah Kennedy, Jr. and stepfather, Jeremiah Kennedy, Sr. preceded her in death.\n \n Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2009 1pm at New Life United Methodist Church 423 S.
