Ruth Walls

Ruth Virginia Walls , 85, of Easton, Maryland, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, September 1, 2021.

Ruth was born in Rhodesdale, Maryland on September 17, 1935 to Francis (Frank) Walls and Elise Neal Walls.  She attended schools in Dorchester County.

At an early age, Ruth left the Eastern Shore to live in the Big Apple - New York City. During her fifty-eight (58) years living in New York, Ruth worked as a domestic worker and she later found enjoyment in the nursing field.  Ruth was employed and retired from Bellevue Hospital.

Ruth was a devoted mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, and friend to all who knew her.  Every time when she was around she would love to share old memories on how she traveled to different parts of the world.  Ruth loved to go shopping, going out to eat, playing cards with her neighbors and friends, and exercising at the YMCA of Easton.  Ruth also traveled to Cambridge to sit with her sister, Frances Walls.  Ruth always greeted you with a warm greeting and a smile.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents; one aunt, Georgia Neal Hughes; two great nephews, Anthony Ennels and Tavin Molock; and one great niece, Conchita Walls.

Ruth leaves her precious memories to her son, Carlos Walls of St. Michaels, Maryland; a sister, Frances Walls of Cambridge, Maryland; two grandsons, Carlos Walls, Jr., and  Jaosa Purvis of New York, NY; two nieces, Varnell Walls and Vandolia (Russell) Woolford of Cambridge, Maryland; two nephews, Anthony Walls of Cambridge, Maryland, and Gregory Walls of Hurlock, Maryland; two great nieces, Lakeshia Hayward (Willie) Turner of Hurlock, and Takiyah Johnson of Cambridge, Maryland; and one great nephew, Milton (Meya) Walls of Ocean Pines; and a host of cousins, and friends that will miss her tremendously.
