Rudolph Oliver Molock, Sr., 69, departed this life on Friday, July 31, 2009 at Memorial Hospital in Easton, MD after a long illness.\n \n He was born June 14, 1940 in Vienna, Maryland, son of Hazel Molock and the late Levin Wesley Molock, III. He received his education in the public schools of Dorchester County, graduating from Maces Lane High School Class of 1958.\n \n Sonny, as he was affectionately called, started his employment with Sears and Roebuck in Cambridge, MD in 1964 retiring in 1997. After retirement, he was employed for two years with the Dorchester County Roads Department as a Roads Maintenance Technician. He gave his very best in everything he did for anyone.\n \n His passion in life was with God, family and farming. He also enjoyed being with his family, traveling, cooking and working on various kinds of machinery.\n \n He loved his church family as well. Before his health began to fail, Sonny was a very active member of Waters United Methodist Church. He was a Lay Leader, Superintendent of Sunday School, Sunday School Teacher, Youth Choir Director, member of the Trustee Board, Usher Board, United Methodist Men, Men's Choir, Senior Choir and Men Working for Christ.\n \n He is survived by his wife, Delores Faye Harris Molock (Vienna, Md); mother, Hazel Molock (Cambridge, MD); a daughter, Deborah Molock Vines; a son, Rudolph O. Molock, Jr. (Voncia), all of Vienna, MD; eight grandchildren, Terry Vines (Virginia), Theresa and Tina Vines (Baltimore, MD) and Rayshawn Vines (Vienna, MD), Nicholas, Javaughn, Voncia and Raven Molock (all of Vienna, MD); four siblings, Evelyn Musgrove (RC), Willingboro, NJ, Geraldine Smith (Leroy), Thorofare, NJ, Rulene Molock (Cambridge, MD) and Elwood Cephas (Newark, NJ) and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.\n \n Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 7, 2009 1pm at Waugh Chapel UM Church 425 High St Cambridge, MD with a viewing Thursday evening 6-8pm at Henry Funeral Home, PA 510 Washington St Cambridge.
