Royce Murray Obituary (1935 - 2014)

Royce W. Murray, son of the late Nannie and Rodney Murray, died suddenly peacefully at the Talbot Hospice House in Easton, MD. He was born November 30, 1935 on Cantebury Farm in Bailey Neck Road Easton, Maryland. Royce was educated in Talbot County Public Schools and a 1953 graduate of Robert Russa Moton High School. He moved to Wilmington, Delaware and worked for Acme for many years and married the late Shirley Turpin. From this union one son, Royce Murray was born. Upon his return to Maryland he was employed with Wire Belt Co. and White Marsh Elementary School until his retirement. Royce became a member of Williamsburg United Methodist Church at an early age, late transferring his membership to Water’s United Methodist Church in Oxford. Royce leaves to mourn a son, Royce Murray (Victoria); grandson, Lamont Wilson; a sister, Geraldine Murray; nephews, Jermaine and Mark Murray; a great nephew, Jermaine Murray Jr.; a great niece, Heaven Murray and a host of other relatives and friends. Interment in Sanderstown Cemetery.
