Rosalee Sampson, 79, passed away, Monday, May 5, 2008 at Chesapeake Woods Nursing Center in Cambridge, Maryland.\n \n She was born January 10, 1929, in Dorchester County, the sixth of fifteen children, born to the late Edward Jones and Mary Della Jones Singletary.\n \n Mrs. Sampson was a member of Refuge Temple Church of God in Cambridge, Maryland. She retired from Coldwater Seafood Corporation after 25 years of service. She received her formal education in Dorchester County.\n \n She leaves to mourn her husband, Arthur Sampson; a son, Milbert Jones, Sr. (Westover, MD); a daughters she raised as her own, Anitra Appleby (Rev. Thomas Appleby), Springfield, Missouri, Sherise Sampson (Cambridge, MD) and Jackie Jackson (Cambridge, MD); four stepsons, Arthur Sampson, Jr., Leo Molock (Ruth), all of Cambridge, MD, Lance Sampson (Manassas, VA), Dail Sampson (Roxanne), Vienna, MD; three stepdaughters, Gail Sampson, Neta Foster (Robert) and Tammy Jackson (all of Cambridge, MD; two brothers, Gilbert Jones (Bertina), Dover, DE and Ide Singletary; a sister, Rev. Anna Mae Dockins (Clifton), both of Salisbury, MD; a niece devoted to her care, Constance Elliott (Freddie), Cambridge, MD and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.\n \n Funeral services will be held Sunday, May 11, 2008 2pm at Refuge Temple Church of God 800 Robbins St Cambridge, MD with the Rev. Cynthia Stanton, officiating. Interment will follow in Thompsontown Cemetery, Thompsontown, MD.\n \n There will be a viewing Saturday evening 6-8 pm at Henry Funeral Home, PA 510 Washington St Cambridge, MD.
