Robert G Young, “Stinky”, 71, of Preston peacefully went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 11, 2015 at Genesis Healthcare at The Pines.\n \n\n Robert was born April 28, 1944 in Maryland to the late Emily Jenkins Chow. He was educated in Caroline county Public Schools. Robert graduated from Lockerman High School.\n \n\n He was united in Holy Matrimony to Phyllis Young on April 28, 1979. Most of his adult life he spent as a truck driver and route supervisor. After 30 years of dedicated service, he retired from BFI/Allied Waste in April 2009.\n \n\n Robert was a member of Bells Chapel A.M.E Church. He was an active trustee and usher.\n \n\n He enjoyed fishing, hunting, family gatherings, bar b-qing, sponsoring church breakfast, and gardening; especially flowers.\n \n\n Those left to cherish fond memories, his wife: Phyllis Young of Preston; a son: Robert (Tina) Young, Jr.; 3 daughters: Dewanna Caperoon (Joe) of Greensboro, Dawn Wilson (Martin) of Hurlock, and Mana Daniels of Hurlock; 6 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren; 1 sister: Bridgette Chow of Oxford Pennsylvania; 2 brothers: Brian Chow of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and Brandon Chow of Temecula, California; 1 brother-in-law Roth Scofield of Hurlock; 1 sister-in-law Mary Brewington Patterson of Dover; 2 foster brothers: Kenneth Jones (Tonia) of Salisbury and Michael Jones of Durham, North Carolina, and several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.\n \n\n In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by a brother Bruce Chong.
