Robert Andrew Jackson, son of the late Robert Jackson and Clara Payne Jackson was born in Cambridge on September 26, 1923. He attended the public schools in Dorchester County and graduated from St. Clair High School in 1940. Mr. Jackson was employed at Dupont Company in Seaford, DE until his retirement. Robert joined Waugh United Methodist Church at an early age and was a faithful member of Waugh Male Voices, Angelic Choir and supported the many programs and activities of the church until his health failed. He had a wonderful tenor voice which he melodiously used for many years in the Waugh Male Voices and the Angelic Choir. Robert often took the opportunity to sing a solo. He was also a member of the Cedar Meadows Rod and Gun Club. On Tuesday, August 6, 2013, Robert departed this life leaving to mourn his passing a loving wife, Mildred Louise Jackson; a brother, William Jackson (Laurel, DE); a sister in-law, Ida Macer (Cambridge, MD); four sisters in-law all of Richmond, VA and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Services will be Fri., August 16, 2013 11am at Waugh Chapel UM Church 425 High St Cambridge with a viewing one hour prior. Interment in the Veterans Cemetery Hurlock, MD.
