Robert Odell Elliott, the son of the late Rena and Howard Elliott, departed this life Monday, October 22, 2007 at Easton Memorial Hospital.\n \n Robert better known as "Jitty" was born May 17, 1939 in Cordtown, Maryland. There he began his education, later graduating from Mace's Lane High School in 1958.\n \n He was employed by several businesses such as I.L. Leonard Canning factory, Chun King, R.J. Reynolds, The Barrell Company, Black & Decker and Nabisco.\n \n On October 18, 1980, Robert was joined in Holy Matrimony to Mary Ennels. He became a member of Union Chapel A.M.E. He received a certificate as "Man of the Year" from the annual conference.\n \n Robert was a member and then manager of the Sensational Royal Lights for over fifty years. He was truly dedicated and concerned about the well being of this quartet. Many times Robert went beyond what was required to keep this quartet together. He expended his services beyond the call of duty.\n \n One of his favorite songs was "Tis So Sweet To Trust In Jesus." He loved to use his lead, tenor and fifth lead voice to lift up the name of Jesus.\n \n One of Robert's greatest concerns was that someone would keep the family together.
