Robert “Bobby” Cornish passed peacefully from this life the evening of September 21, 2015 after a gradual decline in health. He was surrounded and supported by his loving family and caregivers during the last days of his life.\n \n\n Bobby was born in Cambridge, MD on June 12, 1946, son of the late Juanita LeCompte Cornish Thompson and James Simpson. He graduated from Mace’s Lane High School in 1964. He moved to Washington DC in 1965, and returned to Cambridge Maryland in 1983 to finish his career as computer operator at Purdue and be close to family.\n \n\n Bobby is survived by two children (and spouses): Angela Jolley, and Robin Cornish (Jaime Paniagua); three grandchildren: Nykita and Ramar Jolley, and Jaime Daniel Paniagua-Cornish; and one great grandchild: Derek Wongus III. Bobby is also survived by one sister: Rose “Dottie” Bowens; two special brothers: Lory Field and Ike Downs; two nieces Kimberly Thompson Smith and Alisha Bowens; three great nieces Marquita Woolford, Jamelle Woolford Nance and Arielle Smith; three great nephews Roger Sheffield Jr., TreMar Ross and Kevonte Smith.
