Ricky Eugene Stevenson departed this life on Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2007 at Dorchester General Hospital in Cambridge, MD.\n \n He was born April 14, 1954 in Greenville, North Carolina, son of the late Cleveland Earl and Mary Magdaline Stevenson.\n \n Ricky attended schools in Perquimans County Public Schools. He moved to Maryland in 1978. Ricky's occupation was that of Marine Construction employed by Erik Straub.\n \n Ricky was a fun loving person. He could be found spending many hours with his wife, grandchildren, family and friends enjoying the serenity of the ocean or trying to reel a "Big One". Fishing was his second love.\n \n Ricky Eugene Stevenson was joined in marriage on March 21, 2003 to Druscillia Myrtle Green. In addition to his wife he leaves his daughters, Michelle King (David), Durham, NC, Evelyn Stevenson (Edenton, NC) and Britteny Stevenson (Salisbury, MD); five step children; nine grandchildren; mother in-law, Daisy N. Butler (Hurlock, MD); a sister, Linda Carr (Phil), Cambridge, MD; three brothers, Christopher (Brenda), Hamden, CT, Samuel (Latania) and Raymond Stevenson (all of Cambridge, MD); four sisters in-law, Dorind Dockins (Henry), East New Market, MD, Delilah Johnson (Cornell), Desiree Jones (all of Seaford, DE), Deanna Boston (Tommy), Easton, MD; a brother in-law, Darcy Nichols (Claretha);two special aunts, Ethel Hardy (Greenville, NC) and Evelyn Wilkins (Kenneth), Preston, MD and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.\n \n He was preceded in death by a son, Ricky Eugene Carter (Hertford, NC) and a brother, Cleveland Earl Stevenson, Jr. (Cambridge, MD).\n \n Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 29, 2007 1pm at Greater Mt. Zion Pentecostal Holiness Church 5170 Bethlehem Rd Preston, MD. Interment will follow in Bethel Cemetery (Cambridge, MD). The family will receive friends Sunday evening 6-8 pm at Henry Funeral Home, PA 510 Washington St. Cambridge, MD.
