Easton, Maryland
Richard Rondel Wilson (Rich) was born July 3, 1965 in Talbot County Easton, Maryland. He departed this life on Thursday March 6, 2025, at the University of Maryland Medical Center Baltimore. He was 59 years old.
Rich attended Talbot County Public schools and graduated from Easton Senior High School with the class of 1984. From there he entered the work force, first at Allen Family Foods. Throughout his life Rich was a dedicated employee for many companies, including Golden Corral Restaurant, Caroline County Public Schools, Fred Frederick, Wildlife International (now Eurofins), the US Postal System, and Shore Self Storage. Rich also was the owner and operator of his own cleaning business. Through this business, he provided services to the Manor Discovery Daycare Center, First Baptist Church, Planet Fitness and the Country School, to name a few. On Saturdays, Rich volunteered at the Society of St. Vincent DePaul.
Rich was a hard worker, who touched many lives through his many jobs. He enjoyed music (especially Charlie Wilson), and those who knew him, know that the only color car he drove was silver. More than anything he loved his family, particularly his niece and nephew. He was instrumental in caring for his mother and sisters. Many say “Richard is just like his Uncle Jimmy”, and in many ways he was! He was private but yet impacted everyone he came in contact with.
Richard was preceded in death by his father, Elmer Jackson; aunts Hilda Groce, Ethel Dobson and Elizabeth Blake; uncles Ernest, Buddy and Bill Wilson.
He leaves to cherish his loving memory: his mother Hester Wilson of Cordova, Maryland; one uncle James Wilson of Felton, Delaware; two sisters, Sharon Wilson of Cordova and Letitia Hopkins (Keith) of Easton, Maryland; one niece Kalyn Hopkins of Owings Mills, Maryland; one nephew Trae Hopkins at Morgan State University, Baltimore Maryland; and lots of cousins, co-workers, and friends.
