Richard Alphonso Northam, known as "Juice Willie", 59 passed away Monday August 15, 2011 at Dorchester General Hospital. He was born on August 14, 1952 in Cambridge, Maryland to the late William Sr. and Lillian Jones Northam. Richard received his education in the public schools of Dorchester County. He loved music and began playing trumpet and traveling with a local band right out of high school. He was employed with several local businesses over the years including: Coldwater Seafood, J.M. Clayton's Seafood and Black & Decker. Richard was known as an avid sportsman, who loved to hunt and fish. His other hobbies included: drag racing, roller skating and caring for the pets in his neighborhood. He enjoyed his life to the fullest until his health failed. He loved his family and spending time with the friends he made throughout the years. He could be seen most days in the park on Pine Street with his friends. Richard is preceded in death by his parents, William and Lillian Northam. He leaves to cherish his memory a son, Daron Northam, Sr, and a grandson, Daron, Northam, Jr., two brothers, William Northam, Jr. and Howard Northam (Bertha) all of Cambridge, Maryland, special cousins, Shirley and Elmer Jones, Jr., Newport News, Virginia and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.\n \n Services will be held on Monday, August 22, 2011, 1pm at Waugh Chapel UM Church 425 High St Cambridge with a viewing one hour prior and Sunday evening 6-7:30pm at Henry Funeral Home PA 510 Washington St Cambridge, MD. Interment in the church cemetery.
