Ray Anthony Smith Jr., 39 of Hurlock, departed this life April 27, 2016 at MedStar Hospital in Brooklyn, MD. He was born in Cambridge, MD on November 20, 1976 the son of Gloria Giles McKnight, and the late Ray Anthony Smith, Sr.\n \n\n Ray graduated from Cambridge South Dorchester High School in the class of 1994. He worked at Delmarva Community Transit, USA Trucking, Barnett Concrete, and One Hour Heating and Air Conditioning. His most recent employment was with Milani Construction, LLC. He enjoyed fishing, crabbing, grilling, watching sports, and swapping recipes with his good friend Dontwain Cornish. Ray’s favorite football team was the San Francisco 49ers.\n \n\n Ray leaves to cherish fond memories his children: Raven, Raymonta, Raynia Smith (mother Jamie Travers), Ray Smith, III (mother and his devoted companion Kenya Major); one grandson: Trejian Williams; a step-father: Darnell McKnight; and a step-brother Garfield Stanley, Jr.; his paternal aunts and uncles: Lorraine E. Caldwell (Richard, Sr.), Pastor Hazel Kilpatrick (Juan), and Barbara L. Smith, Godparents: Carolyn S. Hayman (Lenwood, Sr. ), Willie L. Smith, Jr. (Daphan), Matthew W. Smith, Keiford L. Copper, Sr. (Alfreda), Sherwood Jackson, Dorthea Jackson, Gloria J. Matthews(Levin); Maternal grandmother Rosie E. Giles; aunts and uncles: Louis W. Giles (Linda), Portia A.
