Preston Keene Jr, son of Preston Keene Sr and the late Bertha L. Keene, was born on February 19, 1954 in Cambridge, Maryland. He went home to be with His Lord and Savior on February 8, 2014, at the Loch Raven VA Community Living and Rehabilitation Center.\n \n "Junior" as he was affectionately known received his formal education in Cambridge Public Schools. He left Cambridge Senior High School in the twelfth grade to join the United Stated Army in 1972. After 4 years of serving his country he was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Ann V. Deshields from this Union one child was born. In his earlier life Preston worked as a Certified Brick Layer with Allen Tyler and Son.\n \n He lived a long and fulfilling life and touched all of the hearts that he came to know and love. He will be missed as we continue to walk through life.\n \n Survivors to cherish his memory include his 2 sisters Louvenia (William) Nichols (Cambridge, MD) and Althea (John) Foster (Cambridge MD); 4 children Wanda L Keene (Hurlock, MD), the late Preston Keene III, Preston Lamar Keene (Slippery Rock, PA) and Kvonte Armon Keene (Cambridge MD); step daughter Lavern Deshields (Cambridge, MD); 4 grandchildren Tiara Keene (Cambridge MD), Irmeara Jones (Cambridge MD), Irvonte Jones (Salisbury MD) and Kayla Todd (Cambridge MD); 3 great grandchildren Jezyiah Stanford, Zyaire Conaway and Ayanna Conaway ; 4 nieces Andrea (Corinthian) Stanley (Cambridge MD) Alysia Keene (Owings Mills MD), Xenia Foster (Cambridge MD), and Brittney Nichols (St Michaels, MD) and 1 nephew Williams Nichols Jr, and a host of great nieces/nephews, cousins and friends. Services will be held on Sat., Feb. 15th 1pm at United Missionary Baptist Church Cambridge, MD with a viewing two hours prior. Interment Tues., Feb. 18th 10am at the Eastern Shore Veterans Cemetery Hurlock, MD.
