Phillip Albert Thomas, 79, departed this life on March 28, 2016 at his residence.\n \n\n He was born December 24, 1936 to the late Randall and Nannie Moaney Thomas. Phil was retired from Miles-a-Way, Claiborne, Maryland after 10 years of dedicated service. He was known for his favorite saying, “Say What.” Phillip was passionate about fishing and hunting. Family was extremely important to him. He also enjoyed going to the baseball, basketball, and football games with the kids.\n \n\n Phil leaves to cherish fond memories with his oldest son, Phillip Michael Thomas (Cindy) of Chesapeake, Virginia; his extended family, Sheron Thomas of Easton, Lestia Ross, Tyrell Colon Jr., Je-Quon Colon, Ki-Shaun Colon, Larry Ross, Jr. all of Maryland; Devornn Roberts of New York; grandchildren: Phillip Thomas II, Victor Thomas all of Virginia, Jennifer Thomas of Pennsylvania, and Cody and Kyle Jones of Arkansas; four sisters: Sarah Lindsay (George) of Pennsylvania, Nannie Mae Boulden of Maryland, Meredith Henry (Dwight) of Maryland, Marion Patrick (James) of Connecticut; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.\n \n\n In addition to his parents, one son preceded him in death, Curtis Thomas.
