Pernell “June Bug” Clanton, Jr., 55 of Hurlock died Thursday, March 22, 2018 at University of Maryland Shore Medical Center @ Dorchester. He was born September 9, 1962 to the late Pernell Johnson and Betty Mae Clanton Johnson.\n \n\n Pernell was raised in North Carolina and relocated to Maryland’s Eastern Shore. After moving to Maryland, he met and married Yolanda White Clanton. “June Bug” as many called him, loved to listen to music, dance, travel, and grill. Pernell loved to play football with his sons. Pernell was employed by Amick Farms in Hurlock prior to his passing.\n \n\n Pernell is survived by his wife Yolanda White Clanton of Cambridge; 2 sons: Pernell Clanton III of Westover, Maryland and Tranell Clanton of Cambridge; 2 sisters: Linell Clanton of Illinois and Barbara Clanton of California; 2 grandchildren: Keona and Jayceon Clanton of Weldon, North Carolina; numerous nieces and nephews: Tanishia Taylor (Lewis), Tina and Meikita Lee, Stacy Manning, Robert Lee, Jr., Felicia Sovolet, Whitney Clanton, Jessica Roberts, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, and friends.\n \n\n In addition to his parents, Pernell was preceded in death by one sister Brenda Ramsey.
