Percy Warner, Jr., 97, of Easton, MD, departed this life on Sunday March 4, 2012 at William Hill Manor.\n \n Percy was born in Easton, MD, son of the late Percy and Eliza Warner. He was educated in the Talbot County Public Schools in Longwoods, MD. Percy was the kind of man who loved to tell jokes.\n \n Percy spent most of his early years doing farm work for William (Billy) Sharp and others. Later he was employed as a truck driver for J. McKinnley Wills and Son and as a gardener for Jay Dullin. After his retirement, he was a caretaker for Chuck and Caroline Benson.\n \n Percy was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Clinton, William and Clifford and 2 sisters, Alice and Heneretta.\n \n Percy leaves to mourn 7 nephews, Charles and James of Miami, FL, Clinton of Washington, DC, John (Beverly), Franklin(Virginia) of Federalsburg, MD, Rodrick(Betty) of Easton, MD and James(Buddie) Scott of Trappe, MD; 5 nieces, Catherine, Marjorie, Alice, and Della of Easton, MD, Shirley Scott of Rhode Island; 61 great nieces and nephews; 74 great great nieces and nephews; 34 great great great nieces and nephews; 1 great great great great nephew and a host of other relatives and friends.\n \n Services will be held on Friday, March 9, 2012 12 noon at St. Matthew United Methodist Church Longwoods with a viewing one hour prior to the services.
