Pearl Elizabeth Price Copper\n \n\n\n passed from time to eternity on Sunday, November 2, 2014 at the Hospice of Queen Anne in Centreville, MD after a short illness. She was born in Skipton, MD on May 1, 1924 to the late Grant Wilson Price and Margaret Ellen (Maggie) Morris Price. She was the youngest of nine siblings. She attended the public schools of Talbot County and graduated with the Class of 1941 from Robert Russa Moton High School.\n \n\n\n\n\n\n During her early years, she did factory work. She retired from Yale Underwear after 26 years of service. She married William Henry Copper December 22, 1972. He passed away May 21, 1985.\n \n\n\n\n\n\n She joined Union Baptist Church in 1985. She, along with her sister, Theo, faithfully attended Bible Study, Sunday School and regular worship service. Her favorite hymn is “What A Friend We Have In Jesus”. Her favorite scripture is Psalm 121.\n \n\n\n\n\n\n She was a faithful member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion Post 77 for over 35 years and had previously served in the position of Historian. She liked to knit, sew, cook and was known for her special crab sauce. She was an active promoter for the Price Family reunion and always made sure steamed crabs was on the menu. She loved to laugh and she had a special jovial laugh that could not be imitated nor duplicated.\n \n\n\n\n\n\n She is survived by her sister, Theo Brice of Easton, MD, a step-daughter, Yvonne Garrett of Phildelphia, PA, a sister-in-law Mickey Price of Baltimore, MD, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends, Rosetta Ratliff (friends since the 5\n \n th\n \n grade), cousin Grace Perkins and long time friend Vera Nutter.\n \n\n\n\n\n\n In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by seven brothers and their wives, John Price, William Price, Grant Price (Mildred), Frank Price, Robert Price (Thursetta), George Price (Ollie Mae) and Leon Price (Anna); and one sister, and her husband, Mary Hester Bowser (James).\n \n\n\n\n\n\n Interment Eastern Shore Veterans Cemetery, Hurlock, Maryland.
