Pauline Virginia Carroll was the daughter of the late Marcellus and Alice Brown. She was born in Queen Anne's, MD.\n \n Pauline attended School in Talbot County. She had an open and loving heart and was always willing to lend a helping hand. She loved to cook and sew. She was a loving and kind mother and grandmother. Over the years, she was a foster parent to over 30 children.\n \n During her early years she worked in the local canneries, Cordova's Poultry Plant and Philadelphia in a Sewing Factory. Doing her early years in Phila, she attended True Grace Memorial House of Prayer for all people, she was a faithful member on the well wisher board. In her late few years she occassionly attended United Church Of The Lord Jesus Christ in Thomastown, MD\n \n She was preceded in death by her daughter Dolly Furness and (stepson) John Carroll.\n \n She leaves to mourn her passing, a loving husband of 38 years, Solomon Carroll; children and stepchildren, Valerie Carroll, Melissa Carroll, Andre Carroll, Phaedra Holliday, Sophia Benson and Bernell Carroll; Solomon Carroll Jr., George (Bernadette) Carroll, Lewis (Sarah) Johnson, Ronald, Thomas (Michele), Carroll and Loretta Hinton. Her siblings, Bernice (Linzy) Watkins, Mayneal Smallwood, Flossie Jenkins, James (Ruth) Brown, Arnita Adams, Gloria (Donald) Nichols, Donald (Mary) Brown and Blenda Abner and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousin and friends. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, March 7, 2010 1pm at United Church of the Lord Jesus Christ of the Apostolic Faith 22362 Hillsboro Rd Denton, MD with a viewing two hours prior to the services. Interment in Sandtown Cemetery.
