Palechia Dorthea Palmer, 58, departed this life on Thursday, April 9, 2015 at University of Maryland Shore Medical Center @ Dorchester in Cambridge.\n \n\n\n\n\n\n She was born March 26, 1957. Palechia was the daughter of Earl Carter and the late Clementine Dickerson. She was educated in the public schools of Dorchester County, and a graduate of the class of 1975. Palechia was united in marriage to the late Anthony Palmer. She was the mother of two daughters: Coristain (Cyrano) Thaxton, and Pelynda Batson, and one step-son, Mark Perkins.\n \n\n\n\n\n\n She held various jobs until her health failed. Palechia was very devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She love to fellowship and witness. She attended Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses in Cambridge, and held Bible Studies.\n \n\n\n\n\n\n Palechia leaves to cherish fond memories her children: Coristain (Cyrano) Thaxton of Salisbury, Pelynda (Duane) Batson of Cambridge; one step-son Mark (Hope) Perkins of Cambridge; three grandchildren: Sherniece Batson of Baltimore, Sha’Brea and Dwayne Batson, Jr. of Cambridge; three sisters: Tammy (Ray) Washington, Renna (Jeremiah) McKinney, and Dominica (Robert) Bowser all of Cambridge, Lavern Turner of Cambridge; two aunts: Elise (Harold) Stanley of Church Creek, Berdina (Haymond) Ross of Cambridge, and one uncle: William Chester of Woolford; one great uncle Joseph (Victoria) Chester of Cambridge; a host of nieces, nephews, special friends, Louise Johns, Timothy Copper, and many other relatives and friends\n \n\n\n\n .\n \n\n\n\n\n\n In addition to her mother, she is preceded in death by her step-father John L. Kane and a sister Cuba Kane.\n \n\n\n\n\n\n A viewing will take place at Henry Funeral Home, P.A. Friday, April 17, 2015 from 6 to 8 pm. A memorial service is scheduled for Sunday, April 19, f2015 at 2 pm at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses. Interment will be private.
