Othello Stanley Obituary (1920 - 2010)

Mr. Othello Warren Stanley departed this life on Thursday, December 23, 2010 at Mallard Bay Nursing Home in Cambridge at the age of 90. He was born June 11, 1920 in Dorchester County, son of George and Ollie Stanley. Othello was employed at Tudor Farms and was a very respected employee. He enjoyed cutting grass and fishing. He was a member of Mt. Pleasant UM Church and always enjoyed the worship services. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Janie Hooper-Stanley and two sisters, Annie Thompson and Mary Hollis. He leaves to mourn his passing a daughter, Linda Banks; two brothers, Alonza Davis and Phillip Thompson (both of Dorchester County); many cousins including the Cephas Family, Elton, Theodore, Weejay, Shirley, Shelbyjean and Jeanette also Loretta Young and a step niece, Doris C. Ross, who provided his care; also the Hooper Family and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 8, 2010 1pm at Mt. Pleasant UM Church Oceangateway Salem, MD with a viewing two hours prior to the services. Interment in the church cemetery
