Onley James Cawthorne, son of the late Onley James Cawthorne, Sr., and the late Bernice Snowden, of Baltimore, was born on August 18, 1945 in Baltimore, Maryland. He was educated in Baltimore Public School System and later join the job corps where he learned food management Skills; meat cutting Poultry and meat display and kitchen management etc. He also worked ten years at Harrison Country Inn Restaurant. Onley (O.J., Snookie, Poopie and James) nicknames aquired over the years, had an array of interest some of which were traveling, horses, children and football. His travel interest led him to live in VA, West VA, Cleveland, Ohio and eventually Tilghman Island. Barring his brief illness, his final residential destination was to Trinidad. The home of his lovely wife Rosa, which he had visited in 2005. At the time of his death he resided on Tilghman. O.J. became the first and only black resident on Tilghman to date. He leaves to mourn his wife; Rosa Mohamed Cauthorne; three sons, Anthony and Floyd (both of Baltimore, MD and Ojay (Cambridge, MD); two daughters, Regina (Baltimore, MD) and Carrie (Ohio); two sisters, Rosalind Pope and Arletta Grace (both of Baltimore); two brothers, Alan T. Grace and Le'Count Grace, Sr.; two step daughters, Siante Moore (Cambridge, Md) and Katuy Rahim (Trindad); one step-son, Leon Murrany (Trinidad); adopted sister, Carolyn Bryant (Baltimore); three nephews, Vernon Watson, Hasani Grace and Le'Count Grace, Jr.; one niece, Teraz Grace; one uncle, Novell Snowden; one aunt, Naomi Snowden and a host of cousins and friends.
