Oglazia Luchilla Eva Blake

–

Denton, Maryland

Oglazia Luchilla Eva Blake, affectionately known as “Glazia” or “O”, was born on November 7, 1961. She was the youngest of seven children to the late Weldon Henry Jenkins, Sr and Ida Louise Jenkins. Oglazia departed this life on October 13, 2023.

Oglazia was educated in the Dorchester County School System. While stationed in Hawaii, she operated a Daycare Center. She worked in numerous Healthcare Facilities, and restaurants doing what she loved to do…Cook! Oglazia was passionate about cooking & loved spending time in the kitchen, creating her infamous Applesauce cake, Peanut Brittle, Butternut Squash Pie, and other delicious meals she created to bring family and friends together. She was the life of any party; always laughing, joking, and cutting the rug until the music went off! Oglazia’s story wouldn’t be complete if we didn’t talk about her “Thriftiness”! Oh, how she loved a sale. She had a way of saving and finding bargains like no other and was sure to let everyone know about her finds.

In March of 1985, Oglazia met the love of her life, Aaron Blake while working at Black &
Decker. It was love at first sight. They had their 1st date on April 1, 1985. The two became one on August 3, 1990. Throughout Aaron’s Navy career, they were blessed to travel and see the world together.

Oglazia was preceded in death by her brothers Royce Wendell Jenkins, Weldon Henry Jenkins Jr, Dwight Garnell Jenkins, Ellsworth Tyrone Jenkins, Renwick Lonnie Jenkins, and Sister-in-law, Stacy Blake.
