Nathnaniel Turpin, Sr Obituary (1949

Nathaniel Lee Turpin, Sr., 66, of Easton departed this life on Thursday, September 17, 2015 at his residence. Nathaniel, better known as “Nate,” was born March 30, 1949 in Easton to the late Willie Mae Finney and the late Roman Cousins. He was raised by the late Willie Lee Finney Sr. His family also called him “Pudding.” He was educated in Talbot County Public Schools. He graduated from Easton High School in 1969. Nate was a member of the undefeated 1968 Easton Warriors State Championship Basketball Team. He was employed at Cray Block Ribbon for many years. He work as a mechanic at Elliot Wilson Trucks for 25 years. He retired from the Talbot County Public Schools in 2011. Nate loved to work. Nate leaves to cherish his memory, one son; Nathaniel Turpin, Jr. (Lisa); two daughters: Tina Ayalay and Tamara Kemp; one brother: Willie Finney, Jr.; two sisters: Rhinnie Finney and Patricia Finney-Jefferson; 13 grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Otho Simmons, and his sister Annette Simmons.
