Narvel Carnell Smith

Narvel “Bingo”- “Biggie” Smith, 70 years old of Cambridge, MD departed this life on August 25, 2026, at Medstar Georgetown University with his daughter La’Keyia at his side.

Narvel was born April 8, 1956, to Russell Sr and Margaret Smith. He graduated from Cambridge High School class of 1975 and went to pursue his education at College of Ganado in Arizona.

Narvel worked at Coldwater Seafood over 20 years and also worked with Walmart, continuing his commitment to hard work. In his earlier years he attended St. Luke United Methodist Church where he enjoyed Sunday School and Vacation Bible School.

Narvel loved basketball, he was on the team in high school and in college. He was also a die hard “Lakers” fan and wore his gold and purple proudly. His older brother “Poodie” taught him the game and helped develop his basketball skills from an early age.

Narvel was a beloved twin and a man known for his vibrant personality. He had a special way of bringing light and joy to those around him and his presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Preceding his death were his parents. Russell Sr & Margaret Smith. Brothers, Leroy, Russell and Wilmore Smith. Aunts, Valerie Holcombe and Juanita Webb. Uncles, Reginald and Braxton Stanley. Nephew, Ernest Smith. Niece, Robin Smith.

He leaves to cherish his fond memories is his adored daughter, La’Keyia Seymore. Grandchildren Antwain Chester Jr, and Teraya Chester. Great Grandchildren, Rashad Lyons, Zaidyn Edmonds and Ava Chester. Goddaughter, Shavonte’ Foster. Brothers, Linwood (Linda) Smith of Trappe MD. Carvel Smith (His Twin) of Cambridge MD. Sisters, Lorraine Thompson, Loretta Smith, Francine Linett Clark (Andre) all of Cambridge MD and Elaine Cephas of Hurlock MD. Special Friends, Dr. Charles Pinkett, Richard Perry, Roy Tutt, Emory Murray, Michael Hunt, and Robert Foster. Special Brother-in-law, Andre Clark. Several nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
