Nakia Taiwan Cooper, 35 of Cambridge, passed away February 1, 2013 at Dorchester General Hospital. She was born June 15, 1977 , daughter of Charles Henry Cooper and the late Joyce Ann Allen. Nikki, as she was fondly called, attended the public schools of Dorchester County and was employed with Snow's Turn (Goose Creek Market) where she was loved by many. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by a son, Da'Won Sharp Jr. Nakia is survived by six children, Kadijah Cropper, De'Airra Cropper, Glen Cropper Jr., Hykeem Cropper, De'Ivieon Sharp and Ke'Ivieon Sharp; her father, Charles Henry Cooper; a sister, Tanzannica Chester (Leroy Chester Jr.), all of Cambridge; two brothers, Donald Sanders (Makeisha), NC and Charles Cooper Jr. (VA); grandmother, Evelyn Allen (Cambridge); four aunts, Floretta Brummell (Cambridge), Betty Camper (Cambridge) Jessie Cooper (Easton) and Irene Beasley (St. Michaels); companion, Willis Johnson; a god daughter, Na'Tori Fuller (Cambridge); two step sisters, Jawana Stanley (Cambridge) and Danyel Stanley (Glen Burnie); five nephews, Ke'Vondre Sanders (NC), Ke'Sean Sanders (NC), Leroy Chester III, Leontray Chester and Leonbre Chester (all of Cambridge); two nieces, Jazzmannica Chester and Jazzmyeisha Chester (both of Cambridge); close friends, Lamica Fuller, Keisha Smith, Nicole Stanley, Richardo Elliott, Myteia Johnson and Carol Whirley and a host of uncles, cousins and other friends. Services will be Sat. Feb. 16th 11am at Bethel AME Church 623 Pine St Cambridge with a viewing Fri., evening 6-8pm at Henry Funeral Home PA 510 Washington St Cambridge and one hour prior to service.
