Melvin Junior Jackson “Jackloe”, 72 of Cambridge passed peacefully at his home on Friday, March 25, 2016.\n \n\n He was the 3rd oldest of five children born August 9, 1943 to the late late Wilson H. and Mildred L. Jackson in Crapo, Maryland. He attended Dorchester County Schools. He worked many years for William (Bill) Wingate in the construction field. Melvin was affectionately known as “The Cement Man” due to his skill and expertise in masonry work. He enjoyed being around his family and friends. Melvin loved smoking his cigars, loved riding around town with his sister Betty and his brother “Tot.” He loved life.\n \n\n Melvin leaves to cherish his memory 2 sisters: Betty L. Jackson of Cambridge, and Valerie M. Jackson of Baltimore; 2 brothers: Phillip and William (Nancy) Jackson of Cambridge; 2 maternal aunts: Bessie Johnson and Dorothy Gross of Washington, DC; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
