(II Timothy 4:6-8).\n \n\n Mattie Mae Keene, 87, of Cambridge, Maryland, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 13, 2016 in Easton, MD. She was born on March 10, 1929 in Oxford, Maryland to the late Beatrice Dickerson and Raymond Cooper.\n \n\n\n Mattie attended public schools in Talbot County and held several jobs with Bumble Bee and R. J. Reynolds later changed to Chun King in which she retired. She was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church of Cambridge, MD. During her membership she was on the Usher Board and sang in the Senior Choir.\n \n\n\n In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Augustine Keene, Sr. to whom she was married 25 years prior to his death in 1985. Also, her step-father, Alonzo Dickerson, and step-children Hattie, Floyd, Jr., Mary and Jeanette Keene.\n \n\n\n A loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister, she is mourned by her loved ones, two sons, Augustine S. Keene, Sr., of Cambridge, MD; Paul (Susan) Keene of Charles Town, West Virginia. One brother, Alonzo “Grant” Dickerson of Easton, MD; Step-children, Lena Bolden of Hurlock, MD; Joseph Keene, William Keene, Julie Keene and Doretha Luke all of Cambridge, MD. 11 Grandchildren, Sharaya Jones, Nytia Keene, Augustine Keene, Jr., Adrian Keene, Sr., Paulette Keene, Jarron, Sonya, Jada, Kierra and Donnie; 11 Great-Grandchildren, two nephews, Marcus Dickerson and Alonzo G.S. Dickerson and one niece, Schedannia Garrison and longtime girlfriend, Mrs. Dakota George.
