Martha Sue Edmonds departed this life on Saturday November 10, 2007 at Dorchester General Hospital in Cambridge, Maryland. She was the daughter of the late Katie Smith and Willie King.\n \n She was born October 29, 1951 in Dorchester County and attended Moton High School in Easton, Md. Martha moved to Florida for a long period of time and then she returned home to Easton, Md., where she worked at H&G restaurant and the Neighborhood Center in Easton, Md. Then she moved to Cambridge, Md. until her death.\n \n She was preceded in death by her mother Katie Smith and her father Willie King.\n \n She leaves behind a son, Jamie Green (wife) (Salisbury, Md), a very close partner whom she loved, Joe Haynes (Cambridge, Md.), four sisters, Ida ( James)Guy (Cordova, Md.), Mossile (Andre)Thurman (St. Michaels, Md.), Mary (Kenneth)Brown (Laurel ,De), Susan King (Jessup, MD); Four brothers, Willie Allen (Princess Anne Md.), Robert Allen and Betty Sprules (Baltimore, Md.), John(Christine) Allen (Cambridge, Md.) and David King (Baltimore, Md) and host of nieces ,nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.\n \n A viewing will be held on Saturday, November 17, 2007 5-7 pm at Henry Funeral Home, PA 510 Washington St. Cambridge, MD. Interment will be private at the family's convenience.
