Mae Irene Stanley, 74, died peacefully on February 24, 2016 at Deers Head Hospital Center in Salisbury. Mae Irene was born December 18, 1941 in Cambridge. She was the daughter of the late Wilbur and the late Marion Pritchett.\n \n\n\n\n Irene’s favorite hobbies were going to yard sales, and shopping. She thoroughly enjoyed cooking. She especially enjoyed cooking for others. She really loved feeding people and spending time with her family. Irene was educated in Dorchester County Public Schools. She was employed in several places and her last place of employment was at Mallard Bay Nursing Home. Irene was a member of Refuge Temple Church of God here in Cambridge.\n \n\n\n\n Those left to cherish her fond memories are her husband of 42 years, Travers Stanley, Sr.; 3 daughters: Cheryl Pritchett, Nedra (Niecy) and April Stanley; 1 son, Travers Stanley, Jr.; 3 sisters: Virginia Camper (Pete), Agnes Wilson (Edwin), and Ruth Ann Cornish both of Washington DC; 10 grandchildren: Yukie Pritchett Jarrett of Columbia, MD, Cortez Brannock, Jr., Latoya Skinner, James Griffin, Joshua Griffin, Orville Conaway, Jr., Layla Bowser, Trequan Stanley, Dorrell Skinner, Andre Stanley, and Marcus Stanley of California; 14 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.\n \n\n\n\n In addition to her mother and father, Sis. Stanley was preceded in death by 2 sisters: Shirley Dorsey and Glendola Pritchett; 2 brothers: Russell Stanley and Henry Pritchett.
