Lorraine "Dimples" Rouzer made her transition peacefully on Saturday, March 2, 2013 at Chesapeake Woods Center. Born on December 15, 1929 to the late Etta Miles. She attended the public schools of Dorchester County. Lorraine graduated from Frederick St. Clair High School in 1947. She received former trainings in dietary. At an early age Lorraine started her Christian journey. Lorraine was a faithful member of Bethel AME Church until her health declined. Lorraine served on the homecoming committee, usher board, a stewardess, the senior sunshine group and just helped wherever needed. Lorraine was joined in holy matrimony to Isaiah Rouzer Sr. in 1954. The mother of four, Lorraine still found the time to work full time at Todd's Seafood (Cambridge), Dorchester General Hospital, where she retired as a dietary supervisor and later employed at the Cambridge Mac Center. Lorraine was known for her cooking and hospitality skills to her family and friends. Lorraine touched many in her community and was known by many names, mama, grandma, sister, aunt, cousin, but most of all friend. Lorraine loved praising the Lord and knew the power of prayer. She encouraged all to trust God; her life was a reflection of that goodness. Lorraine loved her family. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her husband Isaiah Sr., son, Leon, brother, Leon and a very special niece, Leila. She leaves to cherish and celebrate her life one devoted daughter, Harnetha Nichols (Atlanta, GA); two dedicated sons, Isaiah Rouzer, Jr. (Randallstown, MD) & Adrion Rouzer (Lawrenceville, VA); one dedicated daughter in-law, Belinda Rouzer (Randallstown, MD); one devoted and dedicated sister, Vivian Keene (Preston), Cambridge, MD; fourteen grandchildren, Donte', Terry, Leonique, Carla, Shavonne, Michael, Valerie, Joseph, Ruben, Adrion, Devin, Dawarren, Shawanda and Robert; seventeen great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren and a host of special nieces, nephew, a very special cousins and friends, Howard and Bertha Northam and other cousins and friends. Services will held on Fri., March 8th 1pm at Bethel AME Church Cambridge with a viewing Thurs. evening 6-8pm at Henry Funeral Home PA Cambridge and one hour prior to services. Interment in Bethel Cemetery.
