Our beloved Lorraine Eloise Camper Cooper also known as “E” was born January 12, 1941 to the late Lewis Camper and Elizabeth Ennels in Hurlock, MD. Eloise’s earthly journey ended in the early morning hours of July 23, 2024 at Autumn Lake Nursing Home in Cambridge, MD.
Eloise received her education in the Dorchester County Public School System, graduating in the class of 1960.
She loved listening to music, riding around and watching after the children in the family and community. She always wanted to do her part no matter what the situation was. Every family reunion, gathering or church function, Eloise was there. She also never wanted to miss a day at Pleasant Day because she loved spending time with the staff and other clients there.
Early in life Eloise was a member of St. Luke Methodist Church in Cambridge, MD. As an adult Eloise was a faithful and loyal member of Lighthouse Church of God in East New Market, MD.
On January 16, 1993 she married her best friend Lewis Cooper, also known as “Jr.”.
Love ones that preceded her in death were her husband Lewis Cooper; her parents Lewis Camper and Elizabeth Ennels. Three sons Lewis Cooper, Henry Cooper, and Michael Camper. Three sisters Gloria Camper, Mary Camper and Lorraine Stowers. Four brothers James (Jimmy) Camper, Douglas (Scrapple) Camper, Lewis Camper and Charles Camper. One niece Gloria (Angie) Camper-McCray. Brother-in-laws Leroy Johnson, Edward Cooper and George Cooper. Sister-in-laws Delores, Jesse, Beulah Cooper, and Elizabeth Watford.
Eloise leaves to cherish her fond memories; three children Keith Camper (Letitia) of Virginia Beach, VA, Finessa Miller (Melvin) of Lexington Park, MD and Elisa Camper of Cambridge, MD. Eleven grandchildren Keishawna Camper, Vyakunta Youngblood, Miesha Miller, LaKeisha (Hafid) Page, Diamond Bryant, Patrick, Re’Al, De’Avion and Reality Camper.
