Lisa Annette Townes Jones affectionate known as “Lee” was born on February 17, 1969 in Baltimore, Maryland to two loving parents Walter Townes, III and Doris Townes. On November 1, 2017 Lisa peacefully passed away at John Hopkins Bayview Hospital.\n \n\n At a young age she was baptized at Saint Joseph Freewill Baptist Church. Lisa graduated from Poly-Western High School in 1987. At Sojourner Douglass College Lisa earned her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration Management in 1999. While in college Lisa earned many honors, such as the privilege of being published in “Who’s Who among Students in America Universities and colleges in the 1999 edition. Lisa belonged to many committees and organizations such as the Civil Welfare Counsel, and Women Entrepreneurs of Baltimore. After college Lisa devoted 30 years of service working for various Federal Government Agencies.\n \n\n On May 17, 2003 Lisa married Dorrance L. Jones. Lisa’s favorite past-time was eating Maryland Blue Crabs every weekend during the season. She also enjoyed camping, and shopping!!! Her favorite stores were Tuesday Morning, Target and Kohl’s. If you needed to find her, just stop in any of those stores.\n \n\n Walter Townes, III preceded her in death.\n \n\n Lisa leaves to cherish her memories: her husband Dorrance; her mother Doris Townes; her grandmother Constance Harmon; step children: Antoine Brooks, Courtney Brooks, Corey Jones; grandchildren: Ciani and Emani; one brother Wayne; mother-in-law Joyce Hayward; father-in-law Roland E. Jones, Sr; sister-in-law Rolanda Jones-Holland; 2 brothers in laws: Tyrone Jones (Roxanne), Roland E. Jones, Jr. (Kiesha); 3 nieces: Nicole Townes, Aunt’s Sharon Garland and Constance Hemby; 2 uncles: Donald Townes and James Garland; her best friend Sandy Newman, a host of cousins, other relatives, friends and extended family.
